Profile setting

I’ve been asked “who is this guy ? Should I reply…?”
It would be nice to add a profile behind a username…


To make the forum less impersonal, I posted this topic to help you to set your profile. Your profile information will be displayed on the right of all your posts. If people know who you are, it is easier to talk.




Information

1. Log in with your Username and password
   
2. Click on Profile on the top menu.
   
   
   
3. Skip Registration Information section unless you want to change your password.
   In the Profile Information section
   
4. Enter your Home country.
   
   
   
5. Enter other information (Job/hobbies, Languages…) This information will be publicly viewable, but it can also help to introduce yourself.
   
   In the Personalized Profile section
   If you want to, you can fill this section. The information will be publicly viewable, but it can also help to introduce yourself.
   
   
   
6. Click on save.
   

Avatar
(Picture of you, your kids, or your favorite actor, dish, place… ) Don’t change your avatar too often, it would be confusing.

• Return to the user profile (Click on Profile on the top menu).
  
• Click on the Avatar tab.
  
  

You can pick a picture from your computer, a picture on the Web or from the forum gallery.

Picture from your computer
Make sure that your picture is small, less than 64 kB. Click on the button “Parcourir” (Browser) then select your picture in your computer. Then “save”.

Picture from the Web, you need the URL of the picture, make a copy/paste of the URL, then “save”.

From the gallery

1. Click on “Show Gallery” button,
   
2. select the category,
   
3. click on “Go”,
   
4. select the picture
   
   
   
5. click on the button “select avatar” (bottom of the page).
   
6. Then “save”.

Voilà !
