Host an exchange student

I am a Local Coordinator for CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), finding host families for high school exchange students. This past year was a great success for CIEE and 11 students from 5 countries were placed with families in the Pittsburgh area. We are now looking for new host families for the 2008-2009 school year.

The students are insured, speak English, and bring their own spending money. They are required to perform community service and many of them are very interested in joining high school sports teams and clubs.

At the present time, I am specifically trying to find a 10 month placement for a 16 year old girl from Slovakia, and a five month placement for a 15 year old girl from Germany, but students come from many different countries including China, Thailand, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Spain.
