Moving to Texas
Hi Ladies,
My husband and I are going to move to College Station, TX, in December. I start missing everything here. We go out every weekend to enjoy the last days in Pittsburgh. Please allow me to post our housing advertisement and moving sales. If you or your friend are interested in, please kindly mail to me. Thank you!
Yi-Rung
One-Bedroom Apartment $475/month
available from mid December 2008 with monthly rent of $475. It is located on Flemington Street at Squirrel Hill on the first floor of a house, with its own porch and shared front and back yards. It features:
1. One off-street parking space.
2. With exclusive access to the basement which can serve as a storage space.
3. Washing and dryer machines are located in the basement and used exclusively by the tenant of this unit without extra charge.
4. Close to several city bus routes (56B, 56E, 56U, 59U, 61C, 61F, 64A, 74A, etc.)
5. Walking distance to Giant Eagle.
6. New water heater (replaced last winter)
7. Spacious kitchen with two windows.
8. Partial furnished (with desk and dining table, etc.)
The landlord pays for water, sewage, and landscape maintenance. The heater runs on gas and the stove is electric. We are current tenants of this unit and our lease ends in the end of March 2009. If you are interested in this unit, you will need to sign a new contract with the landlord. To arrange a time to see the house by yourself, please email back to me.

Re: Moving to Texas
Oh, what a shame that you are leaving! When Dave and I lived in Houston we visited College Station. The George Bush Presidential library is there and it was interesting to visit. We were there on a day that the college was playing football and the streets were deserted - you will have to switch from the Steelers to Texas A&M!
Good luck with your sale.

Re: Moving to Texas
Thank you Kathe and Catherine.
My husband is going to attend Ph. D program in Texas A&M, located in College Station about 1.5 hours from Houston.
I am afraid of being bored without IWAP. Hope there is some kind of associations that I can meet new friends.

Congratulation to your husband !!
I think College Station in Texas must be very different from Pittsburgh.
Hope you enjoy the new life in south.
We're gonna miss you a lot !!

Re: Moving to Texas
Congratulations to your husband.
We will miss you - you must come visit whenever you can. I have only visited Dallas, and found the people there very friendly. I don't think you will have a problem, but be prepared for heat in the summer. Keep in touch through the forum.
Good luck for your sale and move
