Thursday meeting: Craft Origami

Hello ladies,

This Thursday 14th February, is Valentine's day! We will be doing some craft called: ORIGAMI (Japanese paper folding)

-What do you need to bring? your wedding picture + scissors (not mandatory)

- Is it difficult? NO everyone can make something!

-What will you do?

There will be 3 different tables:
1) with Catherine Chasseur: you will do a Chinese zodiac crown in which you can put your wedding picture. You will need scissors at this table. Catherine will have paper but if you want to bring your own color paper don't hesitate. Best square paper but Letter or A4 size OK!
2) with Kazu: you will do Crane ('bird') and Lotus traditional Japenese symbol of Origami. Kazu will give you the paper.
3) with Aurelie: you will do Masu box traditionally used to drink Japense sake (rice wine) or Lotus box to put chocolate inside! Aurelie will give you the paper.


We will also bring some books on origami if you want to try some other things a bit more complicated.

just to be clear....

the wedding picture should be brought be everybody and not only the ones doing the thread/crown

we ask the members to bring a picture of their wedding because it is valentine day....
it will be fun to try to recognize the others on their pictures and to see the differences in the ceremonies/clothes between countries/continents

so please don't forget to take them!!!!
