where can I buy a French book?
Hi everybody,
I am reading a wonderful book in English, but I want to buy it for myself in French. It is called "Le Scaphandre et le Papillon" by Jean-Dominique Bauby.
Should I try amazon.fr? Are there other online bookstores that someone could recommend?
Thanks.

Martine,
you are extremely nice and I really appreciate your offer. Of course I'll pay for the book.

We need to get the French conversation club going in September! Martine--maybe you can suggest some easy books for us to discuss! Merci!

Everything about me : I have five kids and have been going to IWAP for years. It is one of my favorite places to be because of all the wonderful people who make up our group. I enjoy biking and swimming too and you can just about always find me weeding the garden in the spring and summer.

Re: where can I buy a French book?
This is a book I recommend. I don't think it is an easy book, I read it in English and the subject is pretty heavy and sad. The English text was not simple. I don't know if it will be difficult to read in French, I guess so. But I think the book is worth reading and there is a lot to discuss about it.
Martine already recommended one book which is a very good book - "Oscar et la dame rose". The only thing is to start reading and discussing.
This is off subject: I remember a conversation about finding a catering company for our party. I met somebody on the 4th who has a catering business and seemed to be a nice, friendly and trustworthy person. He is a friend of a friend of mine and I have his business card in case we need a caterer.
