visit of OAKMONT

like we have decided at the last week visit of Sewickley, the next discovery will be Oakmont
Oakmont is a little city along the Allegheny river not far from Fox Chapel( other side of the river)

because a lot of us is in holiday or back in our home country or traveling....we'll do it at the end of August

i fixed the date at AUGUST 26 TH
it is a tuesday and most of the children will already be back to school....

what i plan to do is that we could meet at my house in Fox Chapel...let our cars (and the food for a potluck see further)in my yard , go together in only a few cars to Oakmont,go to the discovery of the place and after come back to my house for a potluck and picking up the cars...
we would begin around 10/10.30

And count me in. I am going to Vancouver for about ten days at the beginning of August - my first visit to Canada's west coast. I am excited and looking forward to it. If any of you have been there do give suggestions of what not to miss.

great...it will be fun you will see...oakmont is an agreable littletown with little shops(not always very cheap...but you don't have to buy..what abt the pleasure of the eyes!!! )

but i hope we'll be a bigger group!!!!

ok let's say then that we'll meet on AUGUST 26TH ON (9.45/10.00) at my house( send me an email via the mp to have my address if you don't have it already)
we'll go from my place with a few car to Oakmont (very close from fox chapel)
visit a little bit there ...there is a famous bakery there (ask Katherine!!! )
and after the visit we'll go back to my place for a potluck
so we ask to everybody to bring a little something to eat as usual....

I'd enjoy coming for this, but would like a ride, I think. Remy and I can get to most places by bus, but sometimes it takes a while.. We live on Spring Hill, which is sort of between Fox Chapel and the Airport, but not exactly on the highway. If you still have room in your car, Regina, or if anyone else is coming by this way, let me know? Thanks!

there are constructions in my street and every day they close a part of the street
so i'm not sure that tomorrow the whole street will be open...there will prebably be a detour
so to make it easier for everybody let's say that we meet at waterworks mall in front of the ROSS shop for less store
at 10.00 am
