swimming
like a few know , since a few weeks i'm swimming again.....
usually to find an unexpensive swimming pool open in the day is not very easy...most of the public pools are outdoor...and the memberships for the private ones is pretty expensive
after some researches i found something
here the infos abt the pool
After some research on the web,
I went tho the ymca in penn hills ( 11817 frankstown rd pgh 15235 ……easy to go if interested I’ll explain to you)
They use for the people willing to swim the pool of the veteran hospital located at 7410 highland drive pgh 15206 (bldg 9)
The pool is open mon 9-1 / tue 11-1 / wed 1-5 pm/ th 11-1 / fri 9-1
You just need to purchase a pool pass at $ 15.00 per month ….for that you have to go to the ymca at penn hills ( but you can pay several months in once if you don’t want to go back there every month))
You don’t need to be a member of the ymca
So just 15 $/month
i try to go 3 time a week.....
not a lot of people in the pool are swimmers...most of them just walk or exercize
temperature of the water is around 90/92 degree...
i saw that there was a bus in the area( i think the 74 a ...but i have to control) for the ones without cars...
if you need more info....contact me ( see mp)
see you at the next meetings

Re:swimming
Another option might be:
Kingsley Community Center
6435 Frankstown Ave, Pittsburgh, PA
Pittsburgh, PA
Family membership is $150 a year, the pool is beautiful but the hours are somewhat limited. They also have a great swim/team program for children:
